Join A Community

The ability to allow users to request membership from within Elentra is an optional feature and can be turned on and off with the database setting community_send_membership_email_admins. If a school wants to direct all community membership requests to one email address, they can store that email **

Users can optionally join communities they are not already a part of.

  • From the main navigation bar, click Communities.

  • Search for a community as needed or browse communities based on their category.

  • Click on the name of the community.

  • Depending on the community settings you may be prompted to register or join the community.

  • If a community is private and does not allow registrations, you may be shown a list of community administrators to contact or you may be prompted to request membership.

  • If you are prompted to request membership, click Request Membership, enter the reason for your request, and click Send Request. An email request will generate to a community administrator (you will also receive a copy).

  • You will get a success message and can click Close.
