# Setup Guide

The sequential steps contained within this **Developer Setup Guide** will walk you through the relatively straightforward process of getting Elentra JS installed and running with Elentra ME 1.16+.

The purpose of this guide is to walk you through the setup process of EJS2, so that you can run EJS2 modules locally, and by the end you should have everything you need to modify or create new EJS2 components.
