On the Reports tab of the Peer Instruction dashboard, reports will be available for the Peer Instruction after the Post has successfully closed.

Once the Post has closed, the following reports will be available for download in CSV format:

• Learner Scores Report - Provides the final score for all learners in the sessions based on the appropriate marking scheme (i.e., what will populate a Gradebook asessment if PI sessions is attached to Gradebook).

• Learner Responses Report - Provides learner responses per item, per poll. Correct answers are shown as well as points for each poll.

Step 1

On the Peer Instruction dashboard, click the Action button (three vertical dots) next to the Post to expand the menu and select Settings.

Step 2

On the Settings tab of the Peer Instruction dashboard, edit the fields as needed. Click the Confirm button to save.

Attach a Question to PI

Step 1

On the Peer Instruction dashboard, click the More button (three vertical dots) next to the new Peer Instruction to expand the menu and select Questions.

Step 2

On the Questions tabs of the Peer Instruction dashboard, the added Peer Instruction will display. Click the Attach Questions button.

Step 3

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) are the only accepted question type for Peer Instruction. Select from the list of MCQ to add to the Peer Instruction and click Confirm.

Step 4

“The question(s) were attached successfully” message will appear when the question(s) is added.

Detach a Question from PI

Step 1

Select the MCQ to be removed from the Peer Instruction and click the Detach Questions button.

Step 2

The Detaching Questions confirmation pop-up will display. Click the Confirm button to complete or the Cancel button to go back.

Step 3

“The question(s) were detached successfully” message will appear when the question(s) is removed.

Step 1

On the Peer Instruction Dashboard, click on the Add Peer Instruction button.

Step 2

The Adding Peer Instruction window will appear where you can fill out and add the following information:

• Title (Required)

• Description

• Additional Authors

• Assigned Authors (Admin account creating the PI will be included by default)

Once all required and desired fields are completed, click the Proceed button to .

Step 3

The new Peer Instruction will show on Peer Instruction dashboard.

What is Peer Instruction?

A pedagogical tool that requires students to examine their own and their classmates' reactions to and analysis of the content.

How is Peer Instruction Leveraged in Elentra ME?

Learners individually answer poll questions. Based on the class performance (e.g., a class average of under 70%), they may optionally partner up to discuss their answers. After peer discussion/debate/instruction, learners take the same poll a second time. Scoring for a session depends on whether an item went to a second poll and what the class average per item was (e.g., if the average is under 60% the item is thrown out for the purposes of scoring).

What’s the difference between Peer Instruction and Team-Based Learning?

Team-Based Learning is a structured form of small-group learning that emphasizes student preparation out of class and application of knowledge in class. It also uses specific assessment workflows including the iRAT (individual readiness assurance test) and the gRAT (group readiness assurance test).
